Give a ‘gift worth giving’

By November 30, 2009

India (MNN) — With Christmas just around the
corner, many people are starting to check off a gift list for the loved ones —
an iPod, books, DVDs, etc. According to India Partners, you could give a gift
with both immediate and eternal impact this Christmas. Their new gift catalog
allows people to provide gifts of compassion for the least of these in India.

The "Gifts Worth Giving" catalog highlights
12 different opportunities to provide Christ's love and compassion. Three of
these opportunities are practical and highly affordable; you can participate in
each of these for less than $20.

You can share the hope of Christmas with five street
kids by clicking here. Each child will receive a food packet, clothes, a snack
and they will hear the Christmas story. Or provide a needy child with shelter
and warmth this winter by clicking here; a simple way to minister to the less
fortunate in India.

Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh were hit by the
century's worst flooding in October. An abundance of standing water serves as a
rich breeding ground for disease-ridden mosquitoes; for $10, you could provide
protection for a family of five with an insecticide-treated mosquito net.

Gifts are given in Christ's name, and people who
receive them are prayed for. The first $5,000 donated to the "Where Most
Needed" fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Click here to give a
"gift worth giving."

Pray that these gifts
will have an eternal impact and that gift recipients will come to know Christ
as their Savior.
