(Egypt) — Next, an Egyptian appeals court has overturned a controversial verdict and is ordering a new trial for those accused of killing several Egyptian Christians. In a small village south of Cairo, 21 Christians were murdered the weekend of December 31st, 1999. One year later an Egyptian court acquitted all of the defendants charged with the murders. Voice of the Martyrs welcomes this development and is asking concerned Christians to pray that the new trial will result in justice.
