(Tajikistan)–Headlining today’s news Christian relief and development agencies are reaching out in the name of Christ to help the needy leaving Afghanistan. World Concern’s Kelly Miller says the influx of refugees in northern Afghanistan and southern Tajikistan is incredible. “It’s potentially the largest humanitarian aid disaster that the world has seen at this point. We’ll be working initially with 50,000 Afghans and 25,000 Tajiks providing that food security over the winter months starting immediately.” World Concern is asking for cash donations to help them reach out to this Islamic area of the world. Miller says people need to get involved because the time to help is now. “If you look at the current sitaution and the possibility to touch literally tens and hundreds of thousands of lives – sharing God’s love with them it is a unique moment in history.” If you’d like to get involved in this outreach call 1-800-755-5022 or you can give on-line at WorldConcern-dot-org.
