(USA)–Up to three-thousand people are expected to celebrate 100 years of flight in the United States. JAARS, an organization that speeds Bible translation by providing quality services for Wycliffe Bible Translators and others, is commemorating that historic event. JAARS’ Arthur Lightbody. “We’re going to celebrate mission aviation coming up on October 4th. We’re calling in “Wings To the World” a celebration of mission aviation. And, we want this to be a worship service for God because He’s provided aviation so that we can reach unreached people, Bible less people, around the world.” Lightbody says while the focus is worship, he’s hoping for more. “We definitely want to expose people to missions in a broad sweep and specifically about aviation. We hope that it will help people realize that maybe the gifts that they have can be used in missions.” The all-day event is being held at their headquarters in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
