New trends in ministry also reveal new challenges for the non-traditional missionary.

International (MNN)–Business will be a growing trend in cross-cultural Christian ministry for the next half-century. That’s according to Interserve-USA.

February’s Candidate School saw nine people training toward that. Interserve Partners use business, English as Second Language education, animal husbandry, and biomedical science as tools toward outreach.

Part of their witness is to work with integrity in whatever their chosen field, whether medicine, education, or business.

Workers need to acknowledge the realities of stress and fatigue, recognize their symptoms, and be proactive in dealing with them. When they take care of themselves, their ministry will be more enjoyable, effective and fruitful.

In addition, spiritual attacks are a reality for Christians working in these contexts. As the teams ready themselves, please support them in prayer.
