The Middle East refugee crisis can no longer be ignored. Moved by the heart-wrenching image of Aylan Kurdi, many in the Body of Christ are now asking, What can I do to help?

We’ve created this page to help answer that question. Outlined below are Mission Network News partners who are responding to the Middle East refugee crisis, bringing both help and hope in Christ’s name.

By supporting these projects, you can help refugees know they are more than a statistic.

If you have any questions about this page, please call 616-755-NEWS (6397).

AMG International

AMG International is sharing the love of Christ by providing food and water to refugees fleeing from countries like Syria, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Opportunities to share the Gospel are plentiful and AMG ministries of Greece are on the ground and face-to-face sharing the compassion of Christ in deed and with the Word of God.

$100 will help provide basic food and water for twenty people for two days.

Christian Aid Mission

In Christ’s name, local believers helped by Christian Aid Mission are bringing food to empty bellies and hope to weary souls.

If you are willing to help meet the needs of refugees within Syria and Iraq, do not wait. Do not forget. Please donate now.

E3 Partners

A church working with E3 Partners in Syria tries to visit about 100 families per month. The needs vary from household to household, but it is estimated that it costs $20,000.00 per month to provide the most basic of needs.

Partner with E3 here.

Open Doors USA

Centers of Hope, an Open Doors project in Syria, serve as an extension of the church and provide a wide variety of programs that include children and youth activities, food distribution, discipleship courses, trauma counseling, services delivering meals to the elderly, and many more.

Learn how you can support persecuted Christians in Syria through Open Doors USA.

Operation Mobilization

OM has helped tens of thousands of families physically, emotionally and spiritually. Significant numbers have met Christ for the first time.

$50 provides a one-month supply of food to a family, and $125 gives one family a winter kit.

In Europe, OM is helping Christians mobilize and unite their efforts to help refugees seeking safe haven within their borders.

To come alongside OM by giving or going, please contact your local OM office.

SAT-7

Education is a desperate need for refugee children in the Middle East, as opportunities for schooling are often scarce. Thanks to SAT-7, kids can start learning again, simply by turning on the TV.

A donation from you helps SAT-7 give hope to thousands of Arabic-speaking refugee children.

Tent Schools International

“Tent schools” are becoming a solution to the education shortfall among refugee children. For each tent school start-up, a total of $20,200 is needed for tent materials, school supplies, rent, heating fuel and three 10-month teacher salaries. Each school will serve 50 children who haven’t been to school in months, or in some cases, years, since fleeing Syria or other conflict zones.

Help Tent Schools International start a new tent school.

VOM Canada

VOM Canada is partnering with reputable in-country partners to bring needed practical aid and encouragement to struggling believers in Iraq.

Join in by donating to the ministry’s “Relief and Development Fund.”

VOM USA

By helping VOM fill an Action Pack, you and your family can give Christians in the Middle East a tangible reminder that they are not alone.

Help VOM send aid to persecuted Christians in Iraq.

World Mission

Refugees need hope just as much as physical aid. World Mission is providing both with an audio Bible called The Treasure.

$50 puts food and a Treasure into the hands of a refugee.

World Missionary Press

World Missionary Press is sending partners in Europe free Scripture booklets to share with Middle East refugees.

Since the materials are free to partners, WMP needs your help to cover shipping and production costs. Each donated dollar provides the equivalent of twenty-five 48-page topical Scripture booklets to reach people in their own language.

Please support these ministries as overwhelming physical and spiritual needs continue.
