USA (MNN) — Need encouragement for your hope story this Christmas? Here are a few practical tips!
An intentional testimony can make a huge difference in a listener’s worldview. But for it to be strong, it needs to be free from past mistakes, misconceptions, and false life directions.
Ron Hutchcraft of Hutchcraft Ministries says there are three superpowers that can help.
The first is the power of a new beginning. Some people keep stacking life on top of old experiences, hurts, and mistakes. But trusting Christ’s forgiveness makes a fresh start possible.
“Because of Christ, you can declare that today is chapter one, Volume Two, page one. And that means you take God and His Word: “Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past,” adds Hutchcraft.

Second is clearing your identity of false beliefs. If someone’s been mistreated or labeled, it can be hard to make healthy choices. Identity often gets tied to those messages, and it drastically affects a person’s life and direction.
Real freedom comes when you believe what God says about you! Hutchcraft says:
“The only one who has a right to tell you who you are is the God who made you, and He gave you intrinsic worth that no one on Earth gave you — and no one on Earth can take away.”
Lastly is the power of a life-saving mission. God can use what a person is walking through right now to position them as Jesus’ representative in someone else’s life. Hutchcraft adds that the various situations each day brings us are divinely positioning us to help be Jesus for the person He brings us in touch with.
“The things that are happening in my life are to position me to be the personal representative, the face, the voice, the hands of Jesus in this situation. Now you are, you are propelled into your days with a mission that matters forever,” says Hutchcraft.
As Colossians 3:17 reminds us: “Whatever you do — whether you eat or drink — do it all as the representative of the Lord Jesus.”
May this Christmas and beyond, your testimony be empowered by these superpowers!
