Orange Walk is a town located in the northern part of Belize on the road to Corozal. The New Life Presbyterian School needs our help to complete the school so they can use the meeting room and several classrooms on the third floor that our HANDS teams help build several years ago. Some of the 3rd floor looks great! However, the other half of the floor needs a lot of work to get ready for the children to use.
The Unity Presbyterian School was started in 2007 as a new pre-school in an extremely poor area of Belize City. In 2008, the school moved to its present location and started with 50 students. They now have 6 teachers and 140 students enrolled.
We need teams to help build the third floor of this school. They need classroom space to handle an expected increase of 40 students by September. The major job will be laying block on the third floor.
Travel dates are flexible. Deadline is 60 days prior to trip.
