Story number 2 for 31 Oct 2001

By October 31, 2001

(North Korea)–Meanwhile, the United States has issued its blacklist of countries that restrict religious freedom. By law, the State Department is required to issue its list each year under the 1998 Religious Freedom Act. North Korea joins China, Iran, Iraq, Myanmar and Sudan on this year’s list. The State Department also singled out the Taliban, but didn’t single Afghanistan out because it doesn’t recognize them as the legitimate government. Christians are urged to pray for those sharing the Gospel inside these hostile countries.
