(Russia)–Topping the news, it’s thought to be among the worst floods in recent memory. Raging flood waters have swept away homes, washed out bridges and left 20,000 homeless across southern Russia. Damages have been estimated at 106-million dollars. Russian Ministries’ George Law says they’ve also been affected. “We’ve had youth camps that started and they were caught up in this flooding, which started Thursday of last week. As the floods would start hitting the various areas, our youth camps were evacuated to another area, and the flooding kept on proceeding, and covering more ground and territory, and we had to evacuate again.” Law says the devastation of the floods has made it possible for the action of the Gospel to penetrate Muslim areas. “Churches are open 24-hours a day, seven days a week, taking in people, feeding them as they’re able, clothing them. This is certainly a time for God’s people to respond to this devastating human tragedy.”
