A Christian compound in India is attacked a second time.

India (MNN)–In another part of India, Voice of the Martyrs Canada reports that Hindu militants attacked a Christian compound in Bihar State.

It’s the second time this month that a mob has hit them. Several of the staff were brutally beaten in the September 25th attack.

The earlier attack took place August 31. It started from a simple request that a group of youths turn down their loudspeakers so the students inside could study, uninterrupted.

A mob formed as a result, and they demanded the arrest of Rev. Augustine Jebakumar, director of the Gospel Echoing Missionary Society (GEMS) compound. The crowds remained for three days until police succumbed to pressure and arrested Rev. Jebakumar.

Around 100 families, and 900 children live on the compound. Teams work to provide a school, a student hostel, an orphanage and a hospital.

Pray for protection for those in the compound as they continue their outreach into the community. Pray too, for a peaceful resolution to this ongoing problem.
