A growing translation project in Western Nigeria picks up speed.

By April 14, 2004

Nigeria (MNN)–The Seed Companyreports good progress in their Kambari translation of the book of Acts.

In spite of a chronic illness suffered by one of the project advisors, the project is nearly one-third complete.

The team is readying themselves to begin work on Matthew, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, James and Jude. They are also starting a third volume of Old Testament stories, Joshua to Solomon and drafting the fourth volume, Kings and Prophets. An indigenous language dictionary is ready for print, and should be available in the near future.

Kambari is spoken by 300-thousand people in Western Nigeria. Pray for good relationships among the teams, and for the ability to catch mistakes in both translation and in typing.
