A village in Haiti is being transformed with JELLY

By October 25, 2012

USA (MNN) — Bright Hope International has given new meaning to the word JELLY. Their goal is for families to transform a village in a 2-year period through JELLY: Jesus proclaimed to every villager, Education for every child, Loans to raise every family's income, Love of Christ shown to every person, and You and your family making a hands-on impact.

This program which began in mid-October will help transform and bring hope to a Haitian Village. The Project is taking place at a warehouse in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Individuals and families are helping transform shipping containers into a new church and school for the village that is stuck in extreme poverty.

Families who come to help get the opportunity to construct and paint parts of the containers. Also they can pack school supplies, medical products, sell shares for a clean water well, and launch a microloan program. There is something for every member of this family project.

JELLY is estimated to take two years. You will become the hands and feet of Christ in a community that so desperately needs what He freely offers.

As this project begins, ask God to provide the needed supplies. Pray for the families who are involved in this two-year project. Pray that this church will make a deep, lasting impact on the village in Haiti.
