International (MNN) — Compassion International has a new way for people to help meet the needs of others, far away. How? Through, ACT For Compassion, a new online platform.

This new platform allows users to create fundraisers for the issues they’re most passionate about. Fundraisers can be anything from bake sales to running a marathon. Or, you can even host a party for it, and, it’s something to be shared with friends and family.

After all, there are over 400 million living in poverty. Yet, there’s so much that can change through a simple fundraiser. The money raised is then used to meet the greatest needs in the region where Compassion’s working.

Right now, this region is Brazil, where this an extreme lack of resources and poverty. In fact, over half of the people in Brazil live on less than $2 a day. It also has the highest rate of child trafficking.

But by partnering through things like ACT For Compassion, these kinds of statistics can end. Here’s why: with these funds, Compassion works to take care of children’s minds, bodies, hearts, and souls.

How

  • By providing medical checkups
  • Immunizations
  • Nutritional support
  • Hygienic education
  • Love and encouragement
  • Social Skills
  • Christ-centered spiritual counseling
  • Christian education
  • After-school tutoring
  • Life skills and vocational training
  • And so much more

But the help doesn’t end there. On top of caring for these children’s physical needs, Compassion is also sharing the Gospel with them and helping connect these kids to loving Christian communities.

And it gets better because anyone can start a fundraiser through ACT For Compassion. It’s a chance not only to dream big for others, but to help make those dreams a reality while sharing the truth of Christ.

So what are you waiting for? Find what you want to change, and make it happen. Just ACT.
