USA (MNN) — As the United States remembers the second anniversary of nine-11 this week, an organization that supplies Bibles is helping emergency workers deal with future catastrophes.

In partnership with World Relief, International Bible Society’s Suz Hyde says they’re releasing the book, “Building the Mosaic” in New York on September 11th. “We’ve gone back to New York on two or three difference occasions interviewing people who worked as relief workers” Hyde says. ‘We found that many times people wanted to serve out there on the front lines serving, but no one was caring for them. This books is an attempt to come along side the relief worker and help to direct them back to God’s word – the food and the strength and energy they can get from God’s word in order to serve others.’

Hyde says there’s a reason they’re releasing the book in New York. “Because so many people there contributed to the information and the research of the book, but we also recognize the anniversary will resurface many of their memories and relief work from 9-11 goes on. So, we want to come along side them and offer them the encouragement now.”

The goal is to put scripture into the hands of relief workers. Hyde says, “We’ve done 20 daily readings that are scripture. Then (there’s) a page for journaling. We’ve also included the entire book of Pslam.”

You can find a copy of the the book at their web site at http://www.ibs.org or call (800) 524-1588.
