Bible.is for Android App Released

By September 24, 2010

International (FCBH/MNN) — Android users: the wait is
over. The free Bible.is for Android is now available.

Developed by Faith Comes By Hearing, the application for
smartphones allows users to listen and read the Bible at the same time, and
share verses on Facebook in 55 languages.

The iPhone app came first, and since its release there has
been a steady clamor for a Bible application for the Android.

FCBH went into development since the Android audience is
large and growing. The ministry wants
to be where the people are in order to help spread the Word of God around the
world.

FCBH national director Troy Carl explains: "The
Bible.is suite of applications puts the Bible at your fingertips–anytime,
anywhere in the world in audio, text, and in multiple languages."

According to them, the average Bible.is for iPhone user now spends more than
10 minutes a day engaging with Scripture. With that kind of exposure, within a 30-day
period more than 32,000 Scripture verses were bookmarked.

Digital Bible Project powers these Bible apps. It's the world's largest active collection of
digital Scripture made freely available to individuals, organizations,
developers and programmers.

The Bible.is for Android app can be downloaded for free through the Android
Market or visit http://bible.is/download
from any Android device. Learn more about the Bible.is suite of applications here.
