“Everything that the Chinese Christians need exists in China. Our desire as we go in is to be encouragers of those doing a wonderful job in China,” says Wendell Rovenstine, president of Bibles for China.

But leaders in China are asking for more than just Bibles this time: they’re also asking for some training. Though Bibles for China’s specialty is well, Bibles, they’re willing to shift gears a bit to come alongside the China’s church.

“We’ll have some opportunity to have a textbook…leadership Bible, and be able to share that with their congregations,” explains Rovenstine. The group will be spending an extra day in China to do this.

The team will work alongside local churches in two areas. In fact, the Bibles have already made their way to their destinations. And while sharing a Bible may seem simple, the task has had some powerful impacts.

“Constantly we hear them say to us, ‘This Bible will touch a generation for Christ because it’ll be shared will family and their families,’” Rovenstine expresses. “We feel sowing God’s Word in the interior part of China opens up a great opportunity for God to move; and that’s part of that great revival that’s taking place in China: God’s Word is being [shared].”

The trip will take place starting the last week of March and then going through to the second week of April. If this trip isn’t a possibility for you, Bibles for China is planning five more for later this year.

Please pray for safety for the participants and for opportunities to engage in Scripture. Pray that God will continue to provide the funds for this ministry.
