Bibles make it to Africa; distribution begins.

By October 20, 2003

Africa (MNN)–The shipment of 100,000 of World Bible Translation Center’s Easy-to-Read English Bibles has safely arrived and cleared customs in all four African ports.

The Bibles were printed on government presses in Beijing, China, for export to mission points throughout Africa. WBTC was able to secure a price of $2.50 per Bible for printing and shipping.

The Scriptures will be distributed by local churches throughout Uganda, South Africa, Ghana and Kenya. Other destinations are mission points in: Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique.

Only one out of every 30 African Christians has a Bible of their own. Pray for a fruitful harvest of souls and that believers will grow closer to the Lord by having their own copy of His Word.
