Buckner Orphan Care encourages believers to get involved with ‘Angels from Abroad’ program.

USA (MNN) — Buckner Orphan Care is hosting a special workshop January 11. It’s a requirement for those who want to be a part of the “Angels From Abroad” orphan host program.

Through it, Buckner seeks to find adoption-minded families and other believers interested in hosting Russian children ages 7-14.

The children will visit the United States during their summer vacation in June. Hosting would be a great way for potential-adoptive families to participate in the experience of having a child from Russia living in their home as they consider international adoption as an option for parenting.

The program also gives those interested in helping find forever families for these children an opportunity to host a child while praying for them and assisting Buckner in finding an adoptive family for the child or children they host.

The program is mainly set up for the Dallas, Texas area. Children will be involved in several activities in the locale, including a family picnic, Vacation Bible School program and swim party.

Families who live outside the area can set up a temporary residence in Dallas while the children are in the U-S in order to host an Angel. If there are 5 or more families in an area outside of the Dallas area who wish to host, BOC will consider facilitating the hosting program in that particular city as well.
