Children are flocking to underground churches in China.

China (MNN) — The letters arrive from all over China. They describe a wonderful problem to have: The house churches are packed with children who are eager to learn more about Jesus.

However, Sunday school materials are hard to come-by. Most churches have very little if any Sunday school material to help teach them. Open Doors is stepping forward to help, by providing Sunday school curriculum for churches all across China.

In China, it’s illegal to share the Gospel with children. So, Sunday school curiculum is treated like contraband and is almost totally unavailable.

In addition, China’s house churches are so persecuted that they haven’t had the opportunity to develop children’s programs or to train children’s workers. Yet, congregations are filled with exuberant, happy children who are eager to hear the Gospel.

In response to the demand, Open Doors has committed to provide 20,000 sets of a comprehensive three-year curriculum produced by Child Evangelism Fellowship. Funding is needed to meet the demand.
