Christian aid agency approaches concert of prayer in harmony.

By April 23, 2007

International (MNN) — May 11 is Food for the Hungry's
annual prayer concert. It's a Prayer and
Praise Day set aside for the international headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona,
to pray about the ministry.

They're working from the premise laid out in Ephesians
6:18 which urges believers to "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with
all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep
on praying for all the saints."

That said, the staff of FH will gather to spend the day in
prayer and thanksgiving to God.  Teams
will pray, not only for FH staff but also for their supporters and co-workers
around the world.

It's all part of their "Vision of a
Community." VOC is how Food for the
Hungry works in poor communities around the world to bring about life
transformation by the grace and power of God.

Everyday they see communities that are
growing in their potentials to become self-sustaining and reach their vision of
growth and success – all to the glory of God. Keeping short accounts and making sure that
their hearts are in the right place, the staff is setting aside time to
dedicate themselves and their paths through the work of Food For The Hungry.

FH donors are also encouraged to send in an e-mail with
their specific prayer requests, and on May 11 many people will join together
to bring their request to the Lord in prayer.

Food for the Hungry acts as the hands and feet of Christ
among the poor, while also coming alongside the local church body.  If you can help, click here.
