Christians get ‘Traction’ in USA

USA (MNN) — It's been a year since Urbana, the largest students missions conference in the world held in St .Louis, Missouri. Another organization is wanting to help keeps students on mission and focused on the world. That's how "Traction" began.

Traction 2011 will be held on the campus of Bridgeway Christian Church in Rocklin, California January 5 – 7, 2011. Traction is for today's emerging generation (18-30) where prayer movements are surging. This generation wants to take the good news of Jesus to new levels so every aspect of cultures and society are changed. According Traction, "We reject the status quo and want to turn this world on its head with the Gospel that transforms. Traction provides a platform to strategize, counsel, guide and connect you with God's passion."

Sponsored by Harvest Group, Traction is focused on God's greatest passion, God's heart and Love for His creation, His Glory and worship, the people groups still unreached, and the strategies and people needed to reach them. This generation has the drive and opportunity to complete the Great Commission in our life time, both next door and overseas.

Traction features six general sessions and 70 Workshops focused on life issues, world religions, justice, arts and media, marketplace ministry, short term missions, prayer, spiritual growth, technology, evangelism, compassion, children, and worldviews and culture.
