CityFest comes to San Diego

By August 27, 2010

USA (MNN) — Evangelist Luis Palau is gearing up for another
CityFest — this time in San Diego, California. Though the Festival doesn't begin until September 11,
over 440 churches are already hard at work, in and around San Diego.

Through their Season of Service program, Luis Palau Association
and nearly 35,000 volunteers are participating in over 340 service projects, addressing needs such as homelessness, hunger, mentoring, families in need, military,
schools, health and wellness, and neighborhood revitalization.

Then on September 11–the day the Festival begins, Luis Palau
will share a message of hope with attendees as the Gospel is presented in both
English and Spanish.

Following the message, the free, family-friendly Festival
will take place, which will include contemporary Christian and Gospel music
live performances, extreme sports pro athletes, and a Family Fun Zone, hosted by
Bob and Larry from VeggieTales.

Since 1999, more than 8.5 million people have attended LPA Festivals around the world.
