Clothing packets make winter evangelism possible

By September 16, 2008

International (MNN) — Frigid winters may not be the first thing you think of when you think of missionaries in Asian countries. However, while not all regions get snow like the Himalaya Mountains area during the winter months, the days and nights can get very cold. That becomes a problem when missionaries cannot afford warm clothes or anything sturdier than
flip-flops for their feet.

Often missionaries burn a pile of dry leaves or wrap themselves in blankets to stay warm.

Gospel for Asia missionaries are determined to share the love of Jesus, and they will face the elements to do so. To make their work a bit easier and safer, GFA is providing Winter Clothing Packets. Packets include things like a warm coat, gloves, a scarf, a hat and
hiking boots.

GFA missionary Ashka is just one missionary who joyfully proclaimed thanks to God for the clothes that he was given. They will allow him to extend his ministry and keep warm for many years. His ministry will not slow down just because winter has come.
