Coffeehouse ministry plants seeds for the Gospel

By August 12, 2008

Japan (MNN)
— The Evangelical Free Church is celebrating the growth of their
coffee-house church-planting ministry in Japan.

The Reach Global team is laying
the foundation for the future of ministry with a three-part approach. The first stage is the Friendship Center, which was launched in March of 2008. Then comes the Coffee House.

The Coffee & Chat is a place
for people to come and practice English while drinking coffee. It is a relationship-building atmosphere
without a specific Gospel message. The team hopes that will naturally allow them
to share the hope that they have in Christ.

It's a good time of networking, learning and understanding God's plan
for the Friendship Center. Please continue to pray that the team will
know when and how God wants them to begin the House Church phase of the three-prong
plan.

The Japan
team will begin the first small group this September. They are praying,
studying the Bible to better understand a Biblical perspective of the Church,
as well as beginning to look for those who might join them in this new way of
growing the Church.

Please pray
for the Coffee & Chat outreach the first
Friday of each month. Pray for
future workers for the Coffee House ministry.
