Cruise with a ministry heart

By August 9, 2011

USA (MNN) — You are invited to join The JESUS Film Project for a seven-day 2012 Alaskan Cruise, appropriately tagged "Vacation with a Purpose."

It can be difficult to decide what to do with vacation time. Do you get away for a little "R&R," or use this chance to go on a mission trip?

Sometimes the first step in becoming equipped to reach others for Christ is by becoming informed. Travelers on the Alaskan Cruise will hear testimonies from The JESUS Film Project staff about their ministry and about how God is using the "JESUS" film in countries around the world. You will enjoy time spent in the Word and times of worship led by renowned singer Scott Riggan.

The cruise-line will depart on July 28, 2012 from Seattle, Washington aboard Holland America's ms Westerdam. From there, it will sail to port visits at Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria. Travelers can enjoy the splendor of God's creation in the Alaskan glaciers with the climax of the trip taking place in Glacier Bay.

The JESUS Film Project's Executive Director, Jim Green, and his wife, Nan, will also be joining guests on this trip sponsored by Inspiration Cruises & Tours.

This trip truly will be an inspiration. The JESUS Film Project exists to share the message of the Gospel in the heart language of every nation. More than 200 million people have come to Christ as a result of this ministry.

In bringing believers together to commune as a body and get some needed recovery from the daily grind, The JESUS Film Project also hopes to regenerate the hearts of Christians for those who are still lost without Christ. Staff leaders from around the world will share about their ministry and what Christians can do to help spread the Gospel.
