CURE in final stages of construction for Niger hospital

By May 11, 2010

Niger (MNN) — Since early 2009, CURE International has been constructing a six-building hospital in Niamey, Niger, and they have now finished all major construction.

Within the next couple of weeks, CURE will be putting the final touches on the hospital and cleaning up to prepare for installation of equipment. This means the hospital is on time to open as scheduled in September, when CURE will start seeing patients in one of the world's poorest countries.

Executive Director Leron Lehman and his family are already on-site, and this summer Medical Director Dr. Gary Roark and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jean-Francois Negrini will arrive to being the process of hiring and training staff.

Then, CURE will not only be able to provide physical healing to these people who so desperately need it, but they also will provide spiritual healing and hope in the person of Jesus Christ.

You can follow the progress of the hospital and its completion by checking out Lehman's blog at leronlehman.com. If you would also like to help CURE financially in these final stages, click here.
