Curriculum helps Christians from a Muslim background

By December 27, 2022

International (MNN) — Christians from a Muslim background face many unique challenges. They often lose their community or feel isolated in an impersonal Western church setting.

That’s why Horizons International created the Cubs to Lions curriculum, written in Arabic for a Muslim Background audience. Pierre Houssney says, “There have been a lot of discipleship curricula that have come into the Middle East from the West. And while they’re full of good content and Biblical stuff, they often really miss the heart needs of people that are coming to Christ from a Muslim background.”

“Because Muslims have just a very different core worldview. So the struggles that they deal with are pretty unique.”

For instance, should these believers participate in arranged marriages with people who still practice Islam? How should they negotiate life with their Muslim families?

Horizons will put this material on social media, where anyone can view it at any time. Houssney says, “We’re going to continue making physical events: discipleship retreats, conferences, and things like that. But wherever people are, they can access the curricula via social media and the internet.”

Pray this curriculum would help many new Christians as they serve the risen Jesus and live in Muslim-majority areas. Read more about Cubs to Lions here.
