DVD timed to share struggle and hope in Olympic year

By August 22, 2008

International (MNN) — The DVD
"Struggle and Triumph" was neatly timed to coincide with the Olympic
Games.

Produced by the athletic ministry
of Campus Crusade for Christ, the story recounts the struggles and triumphs of
some of the Christian athletes found among the thousands in competition for a
medal and worldwide recognition.

The DVD tells the stories of the
Olympians who exemplify the truth of the famous quote by Frenchman, Baron
Pierre de Coubertin who said, "The important thing in life is not the
triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have won but to have
fought well."

"Struggle and Triumph" features
modern day Olympians who also see their participation in sport as an act of
worship. The DVD tells the stories of Kenya's Catherine Ndereba and the
USA's Allyson Felix–both world class runners; Candra Wijaya and Hendrawan–both of whom
medalled in badminton; Dieudonne Disi–a world-class marathoner from Rwanda;
and  Julian Bolling–the only Sri Lankan
swimmer known to have participated in three Olympic games.

"Struggle and Triumph" is available in 40 languages
and is packaged with the "JESUS" film. The  "JESUS"
film DVD is available in three versions: one in the European languages, another
with Asian, and the third with languages for Africa, the Middle East and the
Americas.

Pray that it will be an effective
tool to draw people to the Lord during this Olympic year and that believers
will have opportunities to use it to share Christ. Click here for more details.
