Global uncertainty requires focused, intentional living

International (MNN) — With the pandemic behind us and fallout from the latest global crises ahead, you’d probably agree with this statement: “We are living in times like no other, and it’s not the world we knew.”

Ron Hutchcraft of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries says there’s a purpose behind today’s global chaos. “We live in very important, urgent times,” he says.

“It is a wake-up call to God’s people – if ‘it’ (whatever has your attention) isn’t going to matter in heaven, ‘it’ isn’t going to matter now.”

This call-to-action comes with some instructions. First, “you say, ‘Lord, I want to make the greatest possible difference with the rest of my life,” Hutchcraft says.

“‘Based on that prayer, I come to You with a blank piece of paper; I am willing to step out of the status quo, the known and the safe. Would You show me what You want me to do in this world?’”

At first, doing this may seem dicey, but “there’s no such thing as risky obedience,” Hutchcraft says.

“There’s only risky disobedience. So take the first step, and don’t be afraid of anything God may ask you to do. Just be afraid you might miss [the opportunity.]”

“You’re uniquely wired; anything He calls you to do is literally what you were created to do, what you are wired to do. And it’s the only thing that will fulfill you,” Hutchcraft says.

“Lives truly are at stake. It’s time to live boldly and urgently.”
