Greece (MNN) — In the midst of celebrating 65 years of ministry AMG International is also celebrating the dedication of a new wing on the St. Luke's hospital in Thessoloniki, Greece.
St. Luke's Hospital has a reputation for being one of the best healthcare centers in Eastern Europe, which has brought about a great need for the expansion.
Their main work is with missionaries from the region. Their positive reputation and work with missionaries provides a strong testimony for missionaries and evangelicals in the Balkan region. This is a key part of strengthening AMG's mission statement. Paul Jenks said, "We envision a world where everyone will have an opportunity to respond to a clear presentation of the Gospel message."
Since half of the hospital staff are believers, there are also daily opportunities to share Christ's love with others. The staff is dedicated to providing excellent healthcare for the physical body, while nurturing their patients' well being.
The new addition and the completion of another new wing early next year will "spearhead the
complete renovation of the hospital nearly doubling its floor space and giving us a completely new surgery wing and several new departments and therapy opportunities," said Jenks.
