‘Incense and Fire’ Prayer Gathering for breakthrough in Lebanon

By October 22, 2018

Lebanon (MNN) – Revelations 8:3-4 influenced Cry Out’s annual Incense and Fire Prayer Gathering.

“Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all God’s people on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.”

Cry Out’s Jane* shares, “That reference of the prayers of the saints being incense in God’s throne room and that turning into things that come to reality into the physical realm,” is where Cry Out’s prayer event received its name.

Incense and Fire Prayer Gathering

The Incense and Fire Prayer Gathering is a 74-hour event for believers to come together in Lebanon and around the world to pray to and worship Jesus.

Starting Thursday, October 25th and ending Sunday, October 28th, Cry Out will host their third annual Incense and Fire Prayer Gathering.

“The time will incorporate times of worship, times of adoration, times of intentional prayer and intercession,” Jane says.

“Our idea’s also to have different workshops to help people that are physically at the event to actually grow more in the different dimensions of worship and prayer.”

For example, the event will include individual time slots for attendees to pray, teachings on growing in worship and as the Church, and trainings for believers who want to pray more effectively.

“I think we’re all on a growing journey to learn more about true worship, worshipping in spirit and in truth. I personally am still growing and learning so much in terms of prayer. So, even though the conference does have a[n] emphasis on training, it’s more training by doing than actual training by training,” Jane says.

She shares that workshop times will be structured to learn about specific ways to grow.

While the schedule will be packed with workshops and prayer times, there are still ways to get involved for those who cannot attend the event in person.

“We are encouraging people that can’t physically join us on site to just cover us as we pray for this region and to pray from afar for us as well.”

You can also stay up to date on the event by visiting Cry Out’s Facebook page or visiting their website and requesting information prior to the program.

A Breakthrough in the Middle East

As this is the third Incense and Fire Prayer Gathering, Jane says there are great expectations for this year. Cry Out is praying God will bring a breakthrough as people come together as a global community to worship Him.

As the event draws closer, Jane says she’s specifically praying for multiplication throughout the region.

“It’s great to have this event once a year in one location, but I would love to see this happen in all of the countries in the region. I would like to see it happen in different cities across the region,” Jane says.

“So, really praying that people will come and catch the fire, so to say, and take that fire with them back to their own churches, their own organizations, their own teams and just start being more intentional about praying in their own environments as well.”

Be a prayer warrior for Cry Out during the Incense and Fire Prayer Gathering and in the weeks leading up to it.

Right now, Jane says the ministry is experiencing an increase in opposition both physically and spiritually. Pray the Lord will protect them and keep the ministry and believers in the region strong as they prepare for this event.

Pray for growth among the attendees in Lebanon and those joining online, and pray God will use the event to stir hearts to share His message throughout the Middle East.
