Irpen celebrates record enrollment

Ukraine (MNN) — You can help extend the celebration of a seminary in eastern Europe. Ukraine's Irpen Biblical Seminary is celebrating its biggest enrollment in 22 years of existence.

Spokesman Joel Griffith says Slavic Gospel Association is a big supporter of the school.

"We're just rejoicing…because it means that new churches are having these trained workers that are solidly trained in the Word of God. 367 students in enrollment is quite a milestone."

To date, Irpen has sent 1,357 students into full-time ministry in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and other nations formerly belonging to the Soviet Union. Many have become pastors, while others play a different role in full-time ministry.

"They serve in whatever door the Lord opens," Griffith explains. "Some are involved in education, children's ministry, youth ministry. Others have been trained as worship leaders."

All of Irpine's students are connected by a common need: prayer.

"Pray for God's protection and anointing on the students and the faculty, teachers," Griffith requests. Pray also for revelation as students dig deeper into God's Word.

Since the cost of studying at Irpine is beyond what most students can afford, SGA supports them through sponsorships and scholarships. Learn more about their ministry here. Or call 1-800-BIBLE-50.
