Learning English and Scripture par for the ‘course’

By November 17, 2008

Tanzania (MNN) — Grace Ministries Tanzania team reports that
their English course is under way with over 100 students.

The class is designed to prepare
students for entering secondary school in which a major language change from
Swahili to English takes place. The students are increasing their English
vocabulary from the verses they're memorizing.

Missionary Chad Zuber is
especially excited in the chapel service where the students sing in English and
listen to one of the local pastors preach in Swahili.

Tanzania is a responsive land
with Swahili as its national language. GMI has 72 churches in Tanzania. Their missionaries are involved with the Grace
Church in Tanzania in evangelism, church planting, theological education, and
community development.

New outreach and development are
taking place in the Rukwa Valley with a special focus on helping people with
clean water projects, agriculture, and evangelizing the fishermen villages on
the shores of Lake Rukwa.

Praise God for the lives that
touched through this education and exposed to the Gospel. Keep praying for the
completion of their new building this month.
