Local school gets idol treatment

By May 3, 2005

Australia (MNN) — Young Life Australia is bringing in someone connected with a popular television show to help encourage young people in their faith walk.

Tomorrow, the vocal director of Australian Idol, Erana Clarke, will be running a special workshop at Girraween High School in New South Wales at 11:00 am to conduct a school workshop to inspire young people to learn how to overcome struggles in life, succeed in life and empower them to fulfill their dreams. She will also talk about her extraordinary life as a child star, and the problems that came with that.

Every week Young Life’s adult volunteers want to be the most influential model to positively impact Australian high school young people for Christ. Clarke will share her personal journey with students this week, but also to help Young Life at the annual fundraising banquet at the end of the month.

Pray that lives will be touched and that many will look to Christ for answers to the questions.
