MENA Week of Prayer event kicks off next week

By November 2, 2018

Middle East (MNN) – The Middle East and North Africa have been filled with conflict for generations, but the Church has still stood firm.

However, some believers in these regions may never meet another follower of Christ. Because of this, many still need encouragement and support to know they’re not alone.

Week of Prayer

This is one of the key reasons why SAT-7, a satellite television ministry to the Middle East and North Africa, is hosting a Week of Prayer event from November 4 to 11.

“What’s exciting about that it’s going to be a week of prayer, not a day of prayer, and we’re asking and promoting on all SAT-7 channels across the Middle East and North Africa, millions and millions of viewers to join in the Week of Prayer,” SAT-7’s Dennis Wiens says.

“We want our friends around the world. So, we’re going to rally millions of people around the world to pray during that week… and SAT-7 channels are going to be praying.”

SAT-7 will be promoting and sharing updates with viewers and donors like you on their television broadcasts and social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter.

The ministry is inviting their worldwide support offices to join and invites you to take part in the Week of Prayer too.

Start by signing up for the event to prepare yourself. A SAT-7 press release says you’ll receive a free daily prayer guide that will include a week’s worth of scripture, testimonies from SAT-7’s viewers, and prayer requests for SAT-7’s ministry and for the Middle East and North Africa.

Get Involved

You can also get involved by finding and sharing SAT-7’s impact stories on social media. Share their stories and invite your friends to join in the Week of Prayer as well.

As you pray, know you’re making a difference in lives throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

“We know that prayer works, and so the more people are praying, the more God can touch their heart, but the more God will respond and answer those prayers for our viewers, for the Church. And so, this week of prayer will make a difference,” Wiens says.

SAT-7’s press release also states that, “by uniting in prayer, you can share your faithful witness to fellow believers in the region, particularly vulnerable groups such as children, the oppressed, the illiterate, women, and those facing conflict and uncertainty.”

Be a voice and prayer of hope to your brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

Tune into SAT-7’s Week of Prayer starting Sunday, November 4 and ending Sunday, November 11.

Your prayers can make a difference.
