Men’s ministry marks 16 years.

USA (MNN)–Promise Keepers, the international ministry to men, has wrapped up its 16th season of conferences.

In this year’s season, they’ve reached more than 132,000 men with the Gospel, with over three-thousand men giving their lives to Christ.

This year’s meetings helped men discover their God-given potential, hone their talents and move ahead with accountability. Under the theme, “Unleashed – Releasing the Raw Power of Your Heart”, the mission was to ignite and unite men to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ through the effective communication of seven promises to God, his fellow men, family, church and the world.

Conference attendees received a free six-week group Bible study, developed in association with Man in the Mirror. Both Promise Keepers and Man in the Mirror are charter members of the National Coalition of Men’s Ministries. Men were encouraged create Bible study groups on the spot to create “study and action” groups that would meet in the future.

Says Dr. Tom Fortson, president and CEO of Promise Keepers, the men who were a part of PK this year are those who “…are telling a compelling story with their lives. Any man who is a passionate follower of the Lord Jesus Christ will impact his family, his church and his community in powerful ways.”

The PK team is now looking ahead to 16 specially focused shorter events around the US events in 2007.
