More volunteers means more help is needed

By January 17, 2008

USA (MNN) — Last Fall, Wycliffe Associates had an explosion of volunteers. During their October and November events, 767 people showed interest in serving with their ministry.

They are working at moving these people into service.

They also recruited two new volunteer site coordinators. Site coordinators prepare for volunteers, make it possible to utilize everyone who wants to serve, and help them serve
effectively. While Wycliffe is grateful for the new team members, there are still a dozen more openings for site coordinators at Bible translation locations. Locations include Cameroon,
Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Uganda in Africa. Also, they need people in Brazil, the United States, India, Philippines, Austria, Russia, and the Solomon Islands.

Wycliffe is hoping to engage between 1,000 and 1,500 more volunteers in 2008. They are praying for these numbers to become a reality, but that means they need coordinators to prepare for the volunteers at each site.

Whether you have been a volunteer with Wycliffe already, or are interested in serving with them for the first time, they have more information for you. Also, share this opportunity with people you know who might be interested.
