Africa (MNN) — A new commentary will be a helpful tool for African pastors. SIM International is assisting with an Africa Bible Commentary.

SIM’s Steve Strauss says, “(It’s) being edited by leading African theologians a commentary that will be an exposition of the Scriptures, but with a particular application to the African context.” It will highlight issues that African pastors have to deal with all the time.

The massive project is being translated into English and French. The goal is to eventually have the commentary in Portuguese, Swahili, Hausa, Amharic, Zulu and other languages so African pastors can have on their shelves.

Strauss says, “Africa is a place where the frontline battle between the Christian faith and Islam is very pertinent.

Funding is needed to help complete this project.
