New school underway in Western Highlands of Guatemala

By May 9, 2012

Guatemala (WCS) — Worldwide Christian Schools is partnering
with a group of believers in the "Land of the Eternal Spring" to
bring a little elbow room to the community.

They're helping to build a new school in the Western
Highlands (Mountains) of Guatemala called Colegio Esmirna, which will be in
Chuixchimal, Totonicapan.

The land has already been purchased, and architectural
drawings are complete. The final construction prints are being designed by
Engineering Ministries International (EMI), the footers were poured last
fall, and the foundations are being dug.

The $250,000 project efficiently uses just about every
square inch of space on the land and may eventually host 650 students.

A local church began working with Compassion International
to provide a feeding program for hundreds of children, and they are ready to
expand their ministry to these needy children through the construction of a
primary school.

EMI will also provide construction details for the first of
three school buildings on the small site.

They're going to need "all hands on deck" to see this project through on the
current timeline. They also need
financial support and prayers for God's favor. You can find the links  at our Web site under our Featured Links Section.
