Passion DVD, is impacting Jesus Film Project

USA (MNN) — As the Mel Gibson film “The Passion of the Christ” was released on DVD a few weeks ago, interest in the life of Christ is increasing. The JESUS Film Project is one organization that’s seeing an increase in requests for their “Jesus: Fact or Fiction” DVD.

JESUS Film’s Clyde Taber says, “Just as at Easter time there was a big serge for our orders as churches were ordering this DVD to be used as a compliment to the film ‘The Passion of the Christ’, now with the release of the DVD of ‘The Passion’ a lot of people are again showing an interest in using it as a compliment to Mel’s film.”

Taber says ‘The Passion’ focuses on the last 12 hours of Christ’s life, so that leaves viewers with lots of questions about His life. “Our DVD has a feature length film on the full life and ministry of Christ. In addition to that, it has historians, scientists, theologians, and philosophers responding to more than 50 questions about Jesus, God and the Bible. So, you can get a full picture of the life of Christ as well as answers to the most difficult questions about faith in Christ.”

Studies indicate that ‘The Passion’ has had an emotional impact on viewers, but it’s done little to change lives. Taber is hoping ‘JESUS: Fact or Faction’ will change that. “JESUS: Fact or Fiction can be actually more powerful because it tells the fuller story, has an opportunity to receive Christ, and then a lot of material that would actually help ‘grow’ someone in their faith.”

415,000 copies of the DVD have been distributed. You can receive more information on “JESUS: Fact or Fiction” by going to http://www.JesusFactOrFiction.org.
