Puerto Rican church growing after the ministry of short-term missions team

By May 22, 2008

Puerto Rico (MNN) — Twenty work teams are traveling to Puerto Rico this summer with Grace Ministries
International
to help with building projects at a year-round camp and retreat
ministry.

The work teams’ ministry has
already encouraged two new families to attend a church plant in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, after the teams worked on their homes. A total of three unsaved adults are now
faithfully attending the church, which meets in the home of missionaries John
and Kerry Cox. The Coxes pray that the
church will eventually grow large enough to take over their home!

The work teams have been able to
accomplish a lot at the camp in a very short time. The ministry of the camp reaches people from
many parts of the country of Puerto Rico. The eight missionaries in Puerto
Rico with Grace Ministries International also run a radio station,
home Bible studies, AWANA, and a local church.

Praise God for the ministry of the
teams. Pray for the growth of the church plant, and pray for the missionaries
as they host and work with the work teams.
