Ramadan ends, intercession continues

By May 12, 2021

International (MNN) — Ramadan may be ending this week, but that doesn’t mean your prayers for the Muslim world should.

Prayercast, MNN’s sister ministry, organized intercession every day during Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. While prayer during Ramadan is essential and strategic, Director Chris Ruge says Prayercast offers resources to inform your intercession throughout the year.

“There will be all kinds of information about how they can engage and pray most strategically for Muslims not only around the world but around the corner from them as well,” Ruge says.

This was the second pandemic-era Ramadan, which meant unconventional changes for most Muslims around the world. See our full Ramadan coverage here.

“The pandemic disrupted many things. It puts all of us in a position where we realize things are different and leads us to question things that we assumed were true,” Ruge says.

“[Pandemic changes] can help people be open to hearing what Jesus said, what He taught, and who He is.”

Connect with Prayercast here for prayer resources and videos. “We’re pleading that God would move in power across the Muslim world,” Ruge says.

“Pray that Muslims draw nearer to God in the only way we can come to Him, and that is through Jesus Christ.”
