Middle East (MNN) — A documentary by SAT-7, a Christian satellite television service to the Middle East and North Africa, has been chosen for screening at the European Television Festival of Religious Programs in Berlin, along with programs from the BBC, Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF, German national television) and other TV stations across Europe.

Lasting from June 2-6, the festival will show 23 programs from a total of 70 entered in the competition. Entries came from 36 stations throughout Europe, Canada and the Middle East. Held every three years, the festival shows off and rewards programs which touch on values in religion, faith and ethics.

SAT-7's documentary, "Buthayna," is an episode from their series "And I Am Not Just A Woman." It shares the story of a woman who faces struggles and abuse similar to that of many Middle Eastern women. As the program sheds light on this situation while creating a kinship among these women, it also shares the hope of Christ with viewers and the comfort He offers.

Juliana Sfeir of SAT-7 Lebanon produced the documentary, and Michael Bayouh, Egypt, directed it.

Pray that the documentary's showing at the festival will expose even more people to SAT-7 programming, and that more people across the Middle East and North Africa will be open to the Gospel for the first time.
