Spiritual needs outpacing a ministry team in Mozambique

By October 19, 2011

Mozambique (MNN) — Audio Scripture Ministries
continues to make strides toward growth. Team members say that the growing demand for God's Word in
audio created the need for a new building, and it is now underway.

Funding for the building project is trickling in, so the
anticipated growth is dependent on how soon the new facilities are
operational. Manpower is needed. ASM is looking for volunteers from the U.S. who can go over and complete some of the critical electrical and finishing
work that will be needed.

In the meantime, Crown of Victory
Studio began an outreach to the youth in three communities near Xai-Xai,
Mozambique. In each of these communities, young people are gathering on Saturday
afternoon to listen to Bible Stories in their heart language.

Volunteers facilitate the listening
groups, play the stories, and answer the questions the young people have.
They're hoping that God uses this to raise up a new generation of Christ
followers in that area.

The team also has plans to distribute
another 1000 audio Bibles in Mozambique. An earlier distribution near Nampula
in the north created huge demand for God's Word in audio in that area, and this
new shipment is in response to that.

The staff of Crown of Victory Studio is also putting the
finishing touches on the Tsonga New Testament recording. Please pray for
patience and endurance as the project is wrapped up. Also pray for the
thousands who soon will be hearing this New Testament in their heart language.
