(USA)–Headlining today’s news, the Space Shuttle Columbia catastrophe is providing open doors to share the Gospel with the world. Adam Myrick with affiliate KCBI in Dallas reports. “Shuttle commander Rick Husband and payload commander Michael Anderson were strong Christians and active members at Houston’s Grace Community Church. Executive Pastor Garret Booth says both astronauts looked at their mission as a way to share the Gospel. “Above all the successes that they wanted to see happen in the mission they wanted their personal relationship with Christ to influence and affect the other crew members and they really wanted God to use them.” Grace Community’s minister of music Roy Hanson says commander Husband’s faith will live on through all the autographs he signed in his career. “He always signed it with Proverb 3:5,6 which many of us know. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths.” Adam Myrick, Mission Network News, Dallas, Texas.”
