(Madagascar)–Next, the “Luke Partnership” is helping translate scripture and produce a film to introduce people to Christ around the world. The Seed Company, a ministry of Wycliffe Bible Translators, and the Jesus Film Project are working together to encourage nationals to do Bible translation. The Seed Company’s Harold Good. “The Luke Partnership is committed to translating the Gospel of Luke along with some selected portions of the old testament and then to produce the Jesus Film. And, then these limited goals then will provide some of the tools that are necessary for evangelism.” Good says a workshop for Madagascar nationals was just completed. “That workshop brought together people from four languages from Madagascar representing probably at least three or four million speakers. This workshop gave training in the principles of Bible Translation.” They’ll take those principles and translate Luke into their own heart language. It could take up to one year to complete.
