(North Africa)–Meanwhile, missionaries in North Africa and Europe aren’t sure what the war on terrorism will mean Muslim for outreach there. A missionary with Greater Europe Mission, whom we’ll call “Marty” for security reasons, isn’t categorically saying it will help outreach. “I think it’s too early to tell. I think that there will be movement either making the evangelism of the Muslims more difficult or easier. The Muslims view all people in the west whether in Europe or in the United States as Christians and so whatever we do as a country they often view that as a Christian response.” Marty says with that in mind, friendship evangelism is the most successful way to lead a Muslim to Christ. He explains why. “In their culture relationships are incredibly important. And, they believe very little of what they hear from someone if they don’t know that person well.”
