(Asia)–Meanwhile, East Asia continues to be a difficult area to reach with the Gospel, but a church-based child sponsorship program is expanding into that region. Compassion International’s Mark Yaden says this expansion presents a challenge. “Compassion specifically works through local church fellowships. And, as you know Asia is a large population base that would not be Christian oriented. We’re currently in four countries India, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.” Yaden says Compassion are about 50-thousand children who need sponsors. He says doing so help spread the Gospel. “Every child that’s involved in a program is gonna receive the physical needs, the message of the Good News as well as the long term opportunities to be discipled.” Pray that many will respond to this incredible need.
