(USA)–Meanwhile, some mission leaders believe the church hasn’t done enough to reach the Muslim world for Christ. Doctor David Shibley is with Global Advance and author of the book “The Missions Addiction.” “As tragic as terrorist activities are, in a sense they point to a missions failure of the church in the Islamic world. There is something of a legacy of lethargy that tragically the American church is bequeathing to the next generation. But, it seems that the recent events of the last few months and the ongoing threats of terrorist activity have once again brought to the forefront in the hearts and minds of people to live for what really matters. I anticipate tremendous evangelistic harvest in the coming year.” Shibley hopes the September 11th events will also bring a spiritual renewal in the American church.
